When is the Jeep Gladiator Coming Out?

The highly anticipated Jeep Gladiator truck has been garnering quite a bit of attention lately from both critics and Jeep lovers in the Round Rock area. If you’re wondering when this truck will be available, take heart: the Jeep Gladiator release date is set for 2020. While that might seem like a long ways off, this truck is sure to be worth the wait.

Jeep Gladiator Exterior Highlights

The Jeep Gladiator truck will have a cab that’s similar to the Jeep Wrangler along with a 5-foot truck bed. It will be available in four trims: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon.

The unique exterior offers the open-air design Jeeps are known for, as well as some other recognizable features. The Jeep Gladiator grille features the traditional seven slots, but they’re a bit wider than on the Jeep Wrangler to allow for additional intake for a higher towing capacity. The design of the Jeep Gladiator grille is also more swept-back for better aerodynamics.

On top, you have three roof options: a three-piece black hardtop, a body-colored hardtop, or a premium soft top.

Jeep Gladiator Interior Highlights

Inside this Jeep truck, you can opt for a 5-inch, 7-inch, or 8.4-inch touchscreen display, and the Gladiator will come equipped with the Uconnect infotainment system. This truck will be available with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The seats will have standard cloth seating, but you can opt for leather seats with accent stitching. There will also be available lumbar support, adjustable bolsters, and heated seating options.

Jeep Gladiator Performance Highlights

The Jeep Gladiator will run on a standard 3.6L Pentastar engine that delivers 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, but you’ll also be able to upgrade to a 3.0L diesel engine in 2020 that will deliver 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, but there is the option of an eight-speed automatic.

This truck will have 4×4 capabilities, making it a great option for off-road adventures, and it will deliver best-in-class towing capacity of 7,650 pounds when equipped with the Max Towing Package. It will also have a best-in-class payload of 1,600 pounds.
